Windswept Fury
Ivene Tataleux
carving freedom amidst clouds and renewed faith.
Faith and Struggle
A daughter of a Minor House, Ivene was raised with pride in the disciplines of Halonic Faith. The Scholasticate kept her mind sharp, steeping her in Halone's teachings and the proud history of her people. Yet, beyond the classroom, she struggled to uphold the last of Halone's virtues—combat. Her family had long excelled in swordsmanship, but Ivene found herself at odds with this expectation. Born blind, the weight of the sword was a constant reminder of a tradition she could not fully embrace, despite the pressure placed upon her as the eldest.
Aethersight and duty
It was during the Exodus of the Sharlyans from Dravania that a passing scholar introduced Ivene to the practice of Aethersight. This method allowed her to perceive the world through the shifting patterns of aether, granting her clarity where there was once darkness. While she seldom delves into other magics, her mastery of Aethersight became a defining skill that bridged her limitations and her potential.Upon completing her studies, Ivene went on to serve her Church directly, dedicating all to duty and devotion.
Song's end and new horizons
Shock and fury gripped Ivene when the lies of the Church were finally laid bare, shattering her trust and the foundation of her life’s purpose. The people she had dutifully served had betrayed her, and spite drove her to sever all ties. Forsaking her duty, she sought freedom as a sellsword, embracing work that allowed her to chart her own path.Sky Pirates of the Sea of Clouds offered not only a means to survive but an intoxicating taste of true independence. Among their ranks, Ivene found camaraderie, adventure, and rebellion against the structures that once defined her life. To this day, she thrives in the freedom of wanderlust, the life of an adventurer calling her ever forward into the unknown across the star.

RP Hooks
Sharlyan's blessing
Ivene will be forever grateful for the Sharlyan's assistance on showing her aethersight. Perhaps you know her mentor, or worked in similar fields of aetheric study?
Sky Pirates
Ivene may not own her own ship, but far too many nights, burns, and pinched thumbs led to good experience in maintaining and assisting in many roles within an airships crew.
House Politics
House Tataleux considers the eldest a disappointment, something made well known when the possibility of her being forgotten is unavailible.
Teachings in Halone's Faith
While she still regards the Old Ishgardian church in contempt, she remembers well Halone's teachings. If needed, perhaps she could provide some service to those faithful and desperate.
A job worth (more than) coin.
A professional sellsword, Ivene often takes leves and contracts out of necessity or an excuse to travel. Perhaps to help assist others on a job at times...or to compete for the reward at its end.
